A world leading manufacturing company in the life sciences industry is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their Accounting department.
The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for various financial tasks, including daily invoicing, processing credit memos, handling AP payments, initiating electronic payments through online banking, and overseeing the AP/AR mailbox.
Monthly duties will include supporting the monthly close process by booking commissions, amortizing deferred expenses, reconciling cash, inputting standard journal entries, and preparing monthly KPI reports.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant will include:
Execute daily invoicing and credit memo processingApply AP payments accuratelyInitiate electronic payments via our online banking portalManage the AP/AR mailbox efficientlyAid in the monthly close process by booking commissions, amortizing deferred expenses, reconciling cash, tracking utilities, managing AP accruals, and handling other month-end journal entriesCompile and generate monthly KPI reportsFacilitate the creation of monthly international and domestic DSO reportsSupport the AR team by releasing credit holds as neededAssist the AR team with cash application tasks when requiredFulfill any other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration 2

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
