Scope of Position:
Efficiently and effectively provide pricing leadership and support for Corning Life Sciences pricing function as it relates to contract operations. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise for Corning Life Sciences proprietary Model N pricing system. Understand and enforce pricing guidelines, recommended dealer rebates, and various flags in the Pricing System. This position interacts internally with Pricing colleagues, Sales, Customer Service, Channel, Product Line Management and distributor/customer partners.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Develop/refine pricing contract processes and metrics
Perform pricing research and analysis
Process and administer adjusted cost agreements, and direct quotes
Monitor corporate pricing and enforce pricing rules
Contribute to and help define pricing rules/policies
Monitor, police, and help educate reps on pricing policies and rules
Projects involved with:
Contract renewals and year end pricing updates
Managing and updating pricing guidelines and rules
Recommending and implementing updates and improvements to pricing software
Identifying and recommending improvements to the pricing process

Required Education:
BS or BA degree
Required Years and Area of
Experience:
Min of 2 years experience with customer/distributor interactions and pricing processes.
Required Skills:
PC Skills
Advanced MS Excel skills
Overall proficiency with MS Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
PeopleSoft Supply Chain proficiency a plus
Ability to multi-task, and respond quickly to various information requests
Attention to detail, excellent organization, ability to prioritize work load and meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to enforce procedures and guidelines
