Job Description:
The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Purpose of the Position:
Support commercial and business operations on a day to day basis through creation of financial models, participation on business-level working teams, collaboration with functional experts, and preparation of financial analysis for internal use.
Support Commercial and Business Operations Group for division corporate forecast and planning processes
Present results and analysis in small and large group settings
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Month End
o Support Commercial and Business Operations closing - rebates, commissions, sales reporting, pricing calculations, opex reporting
o Monitor business spend and work with Business Controllers and business leadership to ensure accuracy and understanding of reported results. Coordinate spend reviews with by identifying and researching areas of concern / inconsistency and make or implement recommendations to resolve
Reporting
o Provide ad hoc and ongoing decision support to commercial and business operations group by performing data analysis, price/ volume, cost benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling.
Forecasting
o Assist in forecast / budget preparation for commercial & business operations. Work direct with commercial & business operations to complete forecasts in support of corporate process deliverables and timelines.
o Support creation of business strategy by developing business cases / financial models to include market forecasts, cost analysis, capital analysis, and competitive financial analysis.
Controls
o Revenue recognition and significant contract monitoring
o Maintain & improve SOX controls
Projects
o Division projects as assigned
Qualifications:
MBA, Masters, or CPA/CMA with advanced business finance experience, or combination
2-4 years practical experience with progressive company, F-500
Required Skills:
Strong accounting skills with global focus
Proven analytical skills and ability to link to business impact
Strong presentation (written, oral) and communication skills
Excellent computer skills; Advanced proficiency in Excel
Desired Skills:
Experience with data management across multiple platforms
Ability to work independently and within a matrix organization
Ability to work in cross functional teams and work with all levels of organization.
Ability to establish solid business partnerships.
Soft Skills:
Ability to collaborate with multifunctional teams consisting of business operations, commercial, marketing & manufacturing operations
