The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Purpose of the Position:
Support Finance function on a day to day basis through creation of financial models, participation on business-level working teams, collaboration with functional experts, and preparation of financial analysis for internal use.
Support Division Finance for Corporate forecast and planning processes
Present results and analysis in small and large group settings
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Month End
o Month-end closing analytical support - rebates, commissions, sales reporting, pricing calculations, opex reporting
o Support monthly balance sheet reconciliation, revenue recognition and other financial reporting reconciliations.
o Monitor business results to ensure accuracy and understanding of reported results. Assist in preparation of Division canyons and other division financial reporting requirements.
o Assist Business Controllers in monitoring and forecasting expense spending to ensure accuracy and understanding of reported results.
Reporting
o Provide ad hoc and ongoing decision support by performing data analysis, price/ volume, cost benefit analysis, sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling.
o Metric reporting to include ROIC, ROPA, and Inventory Turns.
Forecasting
o Assist in forecast / budget preparation. Work direct with commercial & business operations to complete forecasts in support of corporate process deliverables and timelines.
o Support creation of business strategy by developing business cases / financial models to include market forecasts, cost analysis, capital analysis, and competitive financial analysis.
Controls
o Revenue recognition and significant contract monitoring
o Maintain & improve SOX controls
Projects
o Division projects as assigned
Qualifications:
MBA, Masters, or CPA/CMA with advanced business finance experience, or combination
2-4 years practical experience with progressive company, F-500
Willingness to relocate with career advancement
Required Skills:
Strong accounting skills with global focus
Proven analytical skills and ability to link to business impact
Strong presentation (written, oral) and communication skills
Excellent computer skills; Advanced proficiency in Excel
