Performance Excellence Engineer

Scope of Position:
The Division Performance Excellence (PEx) leader is responsible coordination of all Performance Excellence efforts across the division. This position will work with the Division PEx Champion to establish, maintain, and measure the PEx performance across CLS worldwide. This will include implementation of PEx strategy, coordination of metrics and training, and monitoring of projects for CLS manufacturing sites worldwide
Key Responsibilities:
You will assist in the development and implementation of the long-term strategy for Process Excellence for the Division and Plants, to drive continuous improvement in our processes. We look for you to establish metrics to monitor divisional PEx improvement and to create action plans to move sites forward in their PEx performance. Other responsibilities include:
Lead division level PEx improvement programs (i.e. COQ, PQA).
Ensure all plant employees are trained in Process Excellence tools, as appropriate to their job functions. This includes a training needs assessment, providing training resources, and assessing effectiveness.
Coaching of Black Belts and Green Belts in the organization, as needed. Plant liaison to corporate and division Process Excellence initiatives.
Support the rigorous use of data and analysis in our experimentation and validation activities.
Lead and be responsible for the Kaizen program, cultivating the continuous improvement culture in the plants. Project leader for division Six Sigma projects as needed.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field required. Master's degree or MBA would be beneficial, but not required.
Required Years and Area of Experience:
Minimum 3+ years' experience required in areas of Six Sigma, Lean or other Problem Solving methodologies such as Kepner Tregoe.
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience required.
Prior training in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or Lean required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of statistical analysis including histogram, Pareto, correlation, hypothesis tests, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Capability analysis and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
Applied knowledge in Lean concepts such as value chain, flow, pull and tools commonly used to eliminate waste, including kaizen, 5S, error-proofing, value-stream mapping, etc.
Applied knowledge of quality engineering principles such as Voice of Customer (VOC), Voice of Process (VOP), risk analysis, control plans, sampling plans, financial performance (verification of cost impact) and good documentation practices.
This role needs proficient technical writing skills and experience with statistical analysis preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
You will not have direct reports in this role.
Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:
Experience with Minitab is preferred.
PQA knowledge or training.

Travel Requirements:
This role will have a maximum of 20% travel with some international travel needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
